Technical SEO & Google Ads

Groundwork and campaigns set against the pages we built, so traffic lands somewhere that converts.

Why this matters

Most SEO problems on a small business site are not competitive problems. They are technical ones: no sitemap, a redesign that turned forty indexed URLs into forty 404s, schema that never existed, a page title that reads like an internal document. None of that requires a monthly retainer to fix. It requires someone doing it once, properly.

The same goes for ads. Traffic pointed at a homepage, asked to find its own way to a form, converts badly no matter how good the targeting is. We set campaigns against the specific pages built to receive them.

What you get

01

Technical foundation

Sitemap, robots, canonicals, clean heading structure, per-page titles and descriptions written for what people search rather than what you call things internally.

02

Structured data

Organisation, service, FAQ and article schema where it applies — the markup that gets you rich results instead of a plain blue link.

03

Redirects done properly

Every old URL mapped to its new home before launch. This is the single most common way a redesign loses rankings, and it is entirely preventable.

04

Search Console and analytics

Verified, sitemap submitted, Core Web Vitals tracked, so you can see what is happening rather than guessing.

05

Google Ads setup

Account structure, keyword and negative lists, ad copy, conversion tracking that actually fires, campaigns pointed at the right landing pages.

06

A written handover

What was done, what to watch, and what to do next — so you can run it yourself or hand it to someone who will.

How it runs

  1. 01

Audit: what is technically broken, what is indexed, what is losing traffic and why.

  2. 02

Fix the foundation — the items above, in order of what is actually costing you.

  3. 03

Ads set up and pointed at pages built to convert, with tracking verified end to end.

  4. 04

Two weeks later, a review against real data rather than assumptions.

Questions

Before you ask.

Do you do monthly SEO retainers?

Not usually. Most small business sites need the foundation fixed once and then content published consistently — a retainer for the first part is selling you a subscription to a finished job. If you genuinely need ongoing work, we will say so.

How long before we see results?

Technical fixes show up in Search Console within days to a few weeks. Ranking movement takes months and depends on your competition. Ads produce traffic immediately; whether it converts depends on the page it lands on, which is why we build the page first.

Can you do this for a site you did not build?

Yes. We audit it and tell you what is worth fixing. Sometimes the honest answer is that the site itself is the constraint, and we will say that rather than take the work.
